This article introduced some machined parts burr cleaning methods.

Electrolytic deburring

This is to use electric and chemical energy to dissolve the anode and remove the burr. The positive side of the part and the DC power supply is the anode, and the negative side of the forming tool and the DC power supply is the cathode. There is a certain gap between the two sides to let the electrolyte circulate.

Chemical deburring

Put the cleaned metal parts into the chemical solution (50 ℃), and the metal on the surface of the parts will be transferred into the solution in the form of ions. These ions gather on the surface of the machined workpiece and form a layer of viscous film with large resistance and small conductivity through chemical reaction to protect the surface of the workpiece from corrosion, while the burr protrudes out of the surface, and the chemical action will remove the burr.

High temperature deburring

First place the parts to be deburred in the tight sealing chamber, and then send the mixture of hydrogen and oxygen with a certain pressure. After the spark plug ignites, the mixture will explode instantaneously, releasing a large amount of heat, and the instantaneous temperature is as high as 3300 ℃.

Deburring by rolling

A certain proportion of workpieces and abrasives are put into the closed cylinder. During the rotation of the cylinder, grinding occurs between parts and abrasives, and between parts to remove burrs. Zinc die casting parts always use this method to clean burr.

Machined parts Surface quality refers to the state of surface layer after machining, which includes surface roughness, waviness and physical and mechanical properties of surface layer.

Surface roughness refers to the micro geometry error of machined surface. It is usually formed by the moving track of cutting tools in machining, and the ratio of wave distance to wave height is generally less than 50.

The surface layer is cold hardening. It refers to the phenomenon that the strength and hardness of the surface layer of the workpiece are improved after machining, also known as cold hardening or strengthening; the metallographic structure of the surface layer changes. It refers to the phenomenon that the high temperature produced in cutting (especially grinding) changes the metallographic structure of the surface metal of the workpiece and reduces the surface hardness; the residual stress of the surface layer. It refers to the residual stress on the surface layer of the workpiece caused by the cutting force and cutting heat in the cutting process, which affects the fatigue strength of the parts.

What is machining precision accuracy?

Machining accuracy refers to the degree of conformity between the actual value and the ideal value of the geometric parameters (size, geometry and mutual position) of the parts after machining. The deviation between the actual value and the ideal value is the machining error. The machining error reflects the machining accuracy.

The machining accuracy of parts includes three aspects:

Bolts are widely used in machine manufacturing, steel structure connection, assembly of machined parts and other industry lines.

The bolts grade types:

The performance grades of bolts for steel structure connection are 3.6, 4.6, 4.8, 5.6, 6.8, 8.8, 9.8, 10.9 and 12.9. The bolts of grade 8.8 and above are made of low-carbon alloy steel or medium-carbon steel and are heat treated (quenched and tempered). They are commonly referred to as high strength bolts, and the others are commonly referred to as ordinary bolts. The grade label of bolt performance consists of two parts, which represent the nominal tensile strength and yield strength ratio of bolt material. 48 is 4.8.

Bolts performance grade:

For example, a bolt with a performance grade of 4.8 means:

The nominal tensile strength of bolt material is 400 MPa.
The yield-strength ratio of bolt material is 0.8.
The nominal yield strength of bolt material is 400 x 0.8=320 MPa.

The material of high strength bolt of grade 10.9 after heat treatment can reach:

The nominal tensile strength of bolt material reaches 1000MPa grade.
The yield-strength ratio of bolt material is 0.9.
The nominal yield strength of bolt material reaches 1000 x 0.9=900MPa grade.

The meaning of bolt performance grade is an international standard. Bolts with the same performance grade have the same performance regardless of their material and origin. Only performance grade can be selected in design.

Bolts strength grade:

Strength grades 8.8 and 10.9 refer to the shear stress grades of bolts which are 8.8 GPa and 10.9 GPa 8.8 nominal tensile strength 800N/MM2 nominal yield strength 640N/MM2. Generally, bolts are expressed as strength by “X.Y”. X100 = the tensile strength of the bolt, X100* (Y/10) = the yield strength of the bolt (because the yield strength/tensile strength = Y/10, i.e. 0.Y is the yield strength ratio) as specified in the label. For grade 4.8, the tensile strength of the bolt is 400 MPa and the yield strength is 400*8/10=320 MPa.

In the machining process of CNC Turning Lathe, CNC router, CNC milling machine, machining work piece clamping is an important step. A suitable clamping method affect the cutting tools choose, cutting parameters setting and save machining time to save cost.

MACHINING WORK PIECE CLAMPING METHOD AND RULES:

1.Machining work pieces clamping direction:

All machining part clamp direction is: long horizontally and short vertically.

2.Gear clamping:

The clamping height should not be less than 10 mm. The clamping height and the machining height must be specified when processing the workpiece. The machining height should be about 5 mm higher than the plane of the vise in order to ensure its firmness without harming the vise. This kind of clamping belongs to general clamping. The clamping height is also related to the size of the work-piece. The larger the work-piece, the higher the clamping height.

3.Splint clamping:

Splint code is used on the workbench, and workpiece is locked on the splint by screw. This clamping is suitable for work pieces with insufficient clamping height and larger machining force. Generally, medium and large workpieces have better effect.

4.Code iron clamping:

when the machining part is large and the clamping height is insufficient, and silk reeling is not allowed to be locked at the bottom, the code iron clamping is used. This kind of clamping needs to be twice clamped. Firstly, four corners are coded and other parts are machined, then four sides are coded and four corners are machined. When clamping twice, do not let the work piece loose. You can code two sides first and machine the other two sides.

Cutting Tool Clamping Requirement:

Cutting Tool clamping: the diameter is more than 10 mm, the clamping length is not less than 30 mm. The diameter is less than 10 mm, the clamping length is not less than 20 mm. The clamping of cutters should be firm, and the cutters should be strictly protected from collision and directly inserted into the workpiece.
